I visited La Vague twice during my stay in Nice and had a great experience both times. The food was consistently delicious and the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming.
The escargot was excellent — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and one of the best starters I’ve had in a while. I also really enjoyed the seafood pasta, which was fresh, rich, and full of seafood.
On my second visit, I tried the beef tartare and it was outstanding. Easily the highlight for me — incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared.
Definitely a place I’d happily return to and highly recommend when visiting Nice.
The food and the wine were OK but the waiter was awful. One hour after we came we still had some wine in our glasses but he came with the bill and asked for payment. We asked if he wanted us to leave and he said more or less yes. We did not feel welcome there any longer so we left. It was a very stressful place and the waiters ran in the restaurant and hit our table twice. We will not go there again.
There is a reason this restaurant is so popular and you must reserve in order to get a table. The house special Paella with seafood is incredible. So much different seafood. The staff is warm and friendly. Highly recommend.
Number one, the food, it was exceptionally delicious but it was matched by the level of friendly service and happy atmosphere! I had the paella and will never forget it!
